Longwood Gardens , a horticultural showplace just outside of Philadelphia is simply breathtaking. With 150 acres, there's no way you can see it all. Dad, Debi and I were lucky enough to see this amazing Pumpkin Cornocopia by glass artisit Dale Chihuly.

Cafe Viena, Barcelona 2008
Tom and I trek La Rambla to Cafe Viena taste what Mark Bittman claims is one of the best sandwiches he's ever eaten (NY Times review) Tom was super impressed with the "flauta d’ibéric d.o. jabugo" (ham on a baguette). Melt-in-your-mouth thinly sliced jamon lines a crispy baguette. Amazingly simple and really really good!

Puka Dog Rocks in Po'ipu
Keeping up with our quest for the world's greatest hot dogs, we drove to Po'ipu on Kauai's South Shore to find Puka Dog. We were not disappointed! A big fat Polish sausage, encased in a special style hot dog bun fused with spicy jalapeno garlic lemon sauce & mango relish! Mmmm good! If you don't believe us check out their media reviews! Bon Appetit and Travel Channel concur with us!

Kauai, Hawaii
Tom & I escape from the cold of the Altantic Ocean for the warmth of the Pacific on Kauai, Hawaii for a few glorious weeks in February at Makai Farms, 10-acres of glorious Pardise on the North Shore. We enjoy picking our own oranges, key limes, coconuts, bananas, avocados and more!

A Texas Weiner in Clifton

Tom & I can't resist a good hot dog joint so when we were near his boyhood home of Clifton, NJ, we had to make a U-turn and veer to Hot Grill. These deep fried dogs definitely give Rutt's a run for their money! And we definitely left stuffed!
